Writers, Stories, and the Search for Meaning

Event Date:

June 13, 2026

Event Time:

2:00 pm

Event Location:

Great Missenden Baptist Church, 42 High St, Great Missenden, HP16 0AU

Event Description

Join Jane Walters, Chair of the Association of Christian Writers, for a rich and wide-ranging conversation with authors Arnold V Page, Joanna Watson, and Lydia Jenkins as they reflect on the stories that have shaped both their lives and their writing.

From missionary journeys in Chile and accounts of answered prayer, to surviving life-changing tragedy, to imagining dystopian worlds that explore identity, worth, and purpose, this panel brings together writers from very different backgrounds united by a shared belief in the power of story.

Together they will explore how personal experience becomes literature, why stories matter in times of suffering and uncertainty, and how faith, imagination, creativity, and hope continue to shape the books they write. Expect honest conversation, inspiring moments, reflections on the writing life, and insight into the journeys behind the page from authors working across memoir, testimony, devotional writing, and fiction.

Whether you are an aspiring writer, an avid reader, or simply someone who loves meaningful stories, this promises to be a thoughtful and encouraging session.

There will be time for audience Q&A, followed by an opportunity to meet the authors, purchase their books and have them signed.

This session will be held in the Church Hall. This is a FREE session but please do book your place.
