So You’ve Written a Book – What Next? A Practical & Interactive Workshop

So you’ve written a book. Now what? This practical and interactive workshop with Jane Walter is for Christian authors who have completed a manuscript and are considering what comes next. Jane is Chair of the Association of Christian Writers and brings wide experience of supporting writers as they move towards publication.

The session will explore the main publishing routes, including traditional publishing, hybrid options, and self-publishing, helping you think through which approach may best suit your book. Jane will also reflect on preparing a manuscript for publication, submitting proposals, and understanding what publishers and agents are looking for.

Attention will be given to the life of a book after publication, including marketing, reaching readers, building momentum, and sustaining interest over time. The workshop will also touch on distribution, working with bookshops, online sales, events, and the author’s role in helping a book find its audience. Shaped by participant questions, the session offers practical, grounded guidance for authors ready to take the next step.
