Clare Hayns is a vicar in the Diocese of Oxford and formerly served as college chaplain at Christ Church, Oxford. Before ordination, she worked as a social worker specializing in substance misuse and spent time as an entertainment agent. Clare is passionate about faith, creativity, and storytelling. She is married to John, a performer, and has three creative sons—the eldest, Micah Hayns, is the illustrator of this book. Garden Song marks their second collaboration, following Unveiled: Women of the Old Testament and the Choices They Made (BRF).

Micah Hayns is a contemporary artist based in Oxford. Trained in Florence, he merges classical techniques with a modern style influenced by the Impressionists, street art, and the Old Masters. Through his art, he aims to share glimpses of beauty, life, and truth. He paints from his studio gallery, The Jungle, in Oxford—a creative community space run by a local charity.
